Description: paregion displays all parcels in Pima County.
Known Errors/Qualifications: paregion contains duplicate taxcodes for parcels, i.e. undeveloped subdivisions in which all lots are assigned the same taxcode, until the lots are developed. Further, a relatively small number of other parcels have more than one polygon per parcel resulting in duplicate taxcodes. Subdivision common areas are typical examples. Parcels with duplicate taxcodes in paregion duplicate parcel valuation data. Summing valuations for these duplicated taxcode parcels from paregion will result in inflated totals. Users should normalize their analysis results based on the frequency of duplicate taxcodes. Some areas that are not assigned a tax code by the Assessor are "void" areas, having no attributes. Void roadway areas that "bleed" beyond the county border are the most common case. They include a major portion of county street areas. The coverage format will always have these "void" areas due to the nature of the coverage format. These areas are not in our library's paregion shapefile format.
Spatial Domain: Pima County
Rectified: parcel
Maintenance Organization: PC ITD GIS
Maintenance Description: Steve Whitney's processing assembles the section DWG drawing data daily and creates the coverage in the library. Special paregion processing (ParcelToShape) makes the library shapefile from the coverage, deleting all areas with blank (null) parcel codes, resulting in true voids where there are no parcels, such as most right-of-way. The coverage format always has the interior "island" areas due to the nature of the coverage format.

Description: Status: COMPLETED 5/1/2011Contact: Anna Sanchez, Principal Planner, Housing and Community Development Department phone: 837-6953 email: anna.sanchez@tucsonaz.gov Intended Use: To determine the boundaries of the NSP3 Target area for the purposes of purchasing vacant, foreclosed homes for the purposes of rehabilitation and resale or lease to low income persons. Supplemental Information: The NSP3 boundaries designate the boundaries associated with the federal grant received by the City of Tucson for the third round of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP3). The City received approximately $2 million to purchase vacant, foreclosed homes within these boundaries. The homes will be rehabilitated and then sold or leased to low income persons. The boundaries were chosen by City staff and verified by the federal government to meet certain criteria that when analyzed, resulted in a minimum score. The calculation was based on a number of factors, including the number of recent foreclosures in the area and the housing cost burden of homeowners. Also, the area designated could not be so large that the purchase of these homes would not have a transformational impact on the area. The Housing and Community Development Department is also using these boundaries to target other services/programs in an effort to help transform the area. For example, the HOME program down payment assistance offered by the City will be higher if a qualified homebuyer chooses a home located in this area.Attributes: ATTRIBUTE1 Name, names the target area ATTRIBUTE2 Area, size of area, Units of Measure = acres

Description: pcgpraqM is one of several Pima County Government Property Rights (PCGPR) layers pcgpraqM displays Pima County Acquired Property Rights data, which include property, various easements, and other miscellaneous conveyances. The areas in question were either acquired by recorded deed or lease. Polygon features and attributes are based on recorded instruments. Known Errors/Qualifications: This layer has overlapping polygons that are not represented in the coverage format. Do not use a coverage format version of this layer. This layer is built from acquistion section drawings and related information stored in sql tables. This layer represents all document and/or classcode records related to an acquistion area (polygon). If an area (polygon) references more than one document and/or classcode, it creates a duplicate of itself and references the additional data. In that way all data is represented in the shapefile. In addition, the areas (polygons) are dissolved on common document data information. If a right of way area (polygon) was split during initial data entry along a section line, it is no longer represented by multiple polygons; the pieces are dissolved into one common area (polygon). As a result of the dissolve any BB_NO (unique identifier of the polygon disappears).
