Description: This is preliminary data sent out for community review before the FIRMs are offically adopted on June 16th, 2011.
PF_LOMX displays areas (mostly parcels) in which structures have been removed from the 100-year floodplain by Letters of Map Change from FEMA but which do not alter the FIRM boundary. These areas should not appear on the digital FIRM. PF_LOMX can be used to augment PF_DFIRM for large-scale mapping.

Description: A preliminary FIRM panel version of fp_lomxp.
fp_lomxp displays area boundaries in which the floodplain data has been revised by Letter Of Map Revision (LOMR), BUT THE UPDATED BOUNDARIES HAVE NOT YET BEEN INPUT INTO THE GIS FLOODPLAIN LAYERS, I.E. FP_DFIRM, FP_FLWAY, ETC. Will be official June 16, 2011.
Known Errors/Qualifications: The revision area boundaries were screen digitized using the FIRM panel as a reference. This layer may or may not have data in it at any given time. As LOMR documents are processed the relevant information is removed from this layer. A place holder polygon exits in the SW corner of the data in order to prevent the data set from registering as NULL when it is empty. This is necessary since an empty shapefile can't be converted to coverage format as required by the library. The place holder polygon is attributed as PLACEHOLDER in the CASENUM field.

Description: washes displays the natural drainage of the area. This data theme contains multiple regulatory classifications, the correct current classification is stored in the CFS_CODE2, CFS_NUM2, and CFS_SHORT2 fields.
Known Errors/Qualifications: Orthophoto washes are more detailed and are not edgematched to DLG washes. In the current regulatory scheme all washes between 2,000 CFS and 10,000 CFS are stored in the 5,000 to 10,000 category pending review.

Description: Areas of drainage channels in eastern pima county identified by maintenance organization and responsibilities. Currently for RFCD internal use only.
Known Errors/Qualifications: Hand drawn polygons where gaps exist. Modifications ongoing as per Mare Hodshon Yates. -Ray This data layer began as being ONLY those drainageways in Green Valley. The layer has since been expanded to include drainage channels in other areas of the county. The gv in the layer name is a legacy of the initial extent of the layer. The coverage version of this layer includes interior polygons that can be identified by GVDWKEY=0.
Lineage: Initially created as a shapefile the layer has since become a feature class in a geodatabase.

Description: Erosion hazard setback areas derived from the washes layer. Washes where buffered based on CFS value. Areas of constructed channel are limited to channel width.
Known Errors/Qualifications: This layer should be considered only an estimate of the Erosion Hazard Setback, actual setback distances are measured from the top of bank.
Spatial Domain: Pima County
Maintenance Organization: RFCD
Maintenance Description: The automated script performs the following steps:
1)Erase wash lines in constructed channels and federal lands.
2)Buffer wash lines by the erosion hazard setback value defined in the wash layer.
3) Merge constructed channels from the Drainage Maintenance layer.
4)Convert to raster and back to polygon in order to dissolve the resulting feature class.
